Friend of mine has the X308 XJR, he can get just under 20mpg in urban driving, and around 23 on the motorway if he's lucky. The 3.2 will be a little bit better, but not by much. But still, it's worth it anybody know what kind of mpg al get?
Have you thought about maybe getting an XJR grille to replace the chrome one? Does wonders for the looks IMO.

You should be able to remove the slats and replace them with the mesh, as seen here:
