Well, here's my pride and joy, a 1970 Dodge Ram W350 Heavy Duty

It's coming along nicely now. When I got it in November 07, it was undergoing an engine swap from the origional 5.7L V8 Petrol to a 6L Cummins flat six. Its now storming around the place, luckily my house has lots of fields to play in, but we've got a little more to do until it's MOT time.... ;]

Looked like an old workhorse at first...

Got the wiring done with the help of my dad...

The Ram now...

Very nice lick

What year engine are you using?
Does it have the Bosch VP44 distributor pump? Is it a 24 valve straight six or a 12 valver?

The Dodge Ram is my favourite pick up and the Cummins 5.9 litre diesel is my favourite engine

Well the engine is origionally out of a Leyland of some type, what year I'm not too sure, and I'm pretty sure its a 24 valve. It's very much mix matched together really, the previous owner made a real mess of everything when taking out the V8. frown

Sounds about right when other people do the work, unless they're exception.
Im findng ALOT has been done to my Challenger and overall very very well, with lots of money spent in detail little areas. However there are still little niggles they overlooked-which I'm adressing...

Thanks, even here in the USA- and in the south (where i moved to earlier this year)where you'll find car around that would have rusted away years ago elsewhere- you wont find any. In Michigan they come out the woodwork around summertime though.
There are LOTS and LOTS of trucks though, even older ones like yours- most of them have faded paintwork but very rarely much rust.
Are you going to go for a manual transmission? I see old Chevy C10s pick ups around. This is pretty much Chevy country for some reason.....

Yeah, i bet. Yeah it's on manual, another thing messed up by the previous owner, I had to fit a clutch slave cylinder...its very heavy so I've got some modification to do to that!
