My brother and I were looking for a project car and we accidentaly found this sitting in a yard belonging to someone my grandmother knows (as you do). 3 hours later and a few quid each we had another car(if you can call it a car) in the driveway, no real mechanical experience and no idea.

But we did have gullwing doors biggrin

She is a Ford Cortina 4 based Eagle SS with a 1.6 litre Pinto engine. It has never been finished and never driven but with a lot of the difficult bits done (like waterproofing the inside),its the perfect thing to tinker with.

So far I have it mostly stripped down and we are gathering up parts to go into it.

The Most difficult problem facing us is getting seats that fit due to the width and also recline far enough back that it will allow me to drive it (im 6 foot 2).

So any advice or cool ideas for it?

We had a NOVA, based on a Beetle chassis. Similar design, I gather?? Never did get it past the 'up on blocks rotting on the driveway' stage though smile Ended up using an angle grinder to cut up the body work and putting the lot in a skip frown It was well and truly fecked though. Good luck smileWe had the aircraft style canopy rather than the gullwings though.

TVR Cerbera seat are narrow. They should fit and also have recline and are on sliders.

eta. Also consider offsetting the seats a la Lotus 111. Gives driver more legroom as required, and allows slightly wider seat shoulders.
