Been lurcking round for a while, but finally got round to registering and thought Id introduce myself, and the Honda Civic that Im currently racing the the Classic Touring Car Series.

Over the years Ive always been into my Nissans - mainly 200SX's with the Odd Skyline, and I sprinted a 200 a few years back.

Since then a few firends got my in to having a pop at racing so I bought myself an Imported 1992 Civic VTi

Its still road legal, and pretty std for the time being.

Everything you need should be here smile

Im in the Pre93's which use the Toyo 888s as the control tyre, and cars are pretty std.

For something a little more modified, try the CMS - Classic Modified Saloons smile

Cheers for for comments peeps smile

The pics are from Croft, Mallory, Oulton, and my drive lol

The Civic is actually more fun than the 6, but the 6 never fails to impress with just how quick it can get round and out of a corner, all-be-it a little unentertaining.

I also have a 330d Tourer which is my everyday car, and makes a very good tow car for the Honda.

Not too sure about the Jag, only seen him a couple of times this year, though I think it is just an ex road car, not an ex-TWR. In another championship in the CTCRC series, I belive there is an ex works V12 Jag - one of the 4 door saloon jobbies - sorry cant remeber the model name, and a couple of the SD1's are also ex works cars.
Yeah, Im on the Wirral - Saughall Massie. Theres a few of us doing this series, all very local. In the Mallory paddock pic, the CRX guy is from Wallasey, the other Civic lives in Upton, plus there are a couple of others not in the pic (A Starion, M3 and XR2) who are also Wirral based....

Its a very addictive sport, and probably more expensive than drugs lol

ok i lookes at the website £170 for a race £300 for a novice licence and then a few hundred quid for driver suit and helmet etc.... but i dont see anywhere with the minimum requirements for the car.

is it just a case of rollcage, fire extinguisher, and toyo tyres?

thanks
