My first vehicle, a Yamaha Aerox 50cc moped! Got into two wheels when abroad on holiday so decided to get one upon my return to the UK. Restricted to 30mph but still managed Brighton - Clacton on it!!

Intending to move to cars, I purchased a Fiesta 1.0 Bonus (Mk3) as all my friends had cars and I felt a little left out. However, silly insurance quotes put me off so I sold it and bought:

125cc 2-Stroke. Good fun, cheap to run and managed 70-75mph! I even took this one touring in Europe (!!) and managed Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands and France. Here is a picture of my mates scooter and mine 'on tour' in Belgium:

Enjoyed owning one so much I did my full licence and bought the 180cc 2-Stroke version. Was faster than most of my college mates cars at the time and an awful lot cheaper to run!

Took this one touring too, and managed Brighton to Barcelona (and back). Total trip was nearly 3,000 miles which was somewhat painful on the backside. Here is a picture of it on the Spanish border:

Decided to stick with two wheels and upgrade to a Yamaha T-Max. In retrospect I should have taken this opportunity to get a sports bike but being under 20 at the time the insurance was a killer.

Did some touring on this one too. Nothing major but into France and back a few times as well as weekly 260 mile round trips to my then girlfriend.

I then decided to get my first car. The first and only time I have purchased a car new and something I doubt I will do again unless I have serious money to burn. Clio Dynamique 1.4 16V with several option packs:

Got bored of this within a few months, and after driving my parents Volvo T5 I fancied something similar myself. Fully intended to get the 'R' version but along came a tidy standard T5 with all the options, previously owned by the chairman of Everton (and hence very well looked after) so I snapped it up:

I had to replace the engine due to a piston ring failure on the Autobahn at 140mph. Whilst the car was 'perfect' after, I never had quite the confidence in the car as I did previously. Sold the car and purchased this:

Went Derv and loved it. Of course I had it (mapped) and it was producing over 200bhp & not too far shy of 500NM of torque. Had it for 2.5 years before I started worrying that it was coming to the age/mileage that big bills would start to rape my wallet so purchased this to take my mileage down (plus I had now moved to a city centre):

However, yearned for a car not powered by devil fuel so sold the Volvo to a gentleman in Scotland and purchased my current car:

Special edition Merlot with a few 'luxuries', and not many electronics. Just as I wanted it. Great fun to drive and it'll probably stay for a while although it has to be said it isn't really 'special'. I keep considering changing it for an Alfa GTV (V6) or a big saloon with a V8 in it but get put off by the potential costs.

Decided as a short-term measure to satisfy my 'Need for Speed' with a Thundercat, which is somewhat faster than anything I've had to date.

Near it, yes.

I have a friend in the NX Owners Club, are you a member?

Do you mean 100nxc.net? Yep, did so a while ago but haven't ever been activated on it. I'm not planning on keeping it that long, cracking little cars though IMO
