Hello everyone, this is my first post although i have browsed before, thought i would put up some pictures of my current car,

Its a Honda Accord Type-R, for those who dont know much about them, it has pretty much the same engine as the red top Prelude, but with a few finishing touches to see it to 210bhp. It has recaro interior as standard, xenons, LSD, and its a lot stiffer than your normal accord.
Would recommend one to anyone, i love every minute of mine.

Modifications so far:
K&N Typhoon Induction system, cone situated in front o/s behind the front bumper (nice and breezy and no heat)
6000k Xenon upgrade (already has 4300k xenons)

To come very shortly:
Lightened flywheel and new clutch to go with
Decat
Engine dressing

Had one of these for a year, loved the scream of the engine and the seats. The boot was massive but could just not fall in love with it. Have driven BMW's for most of my driving life and wanted a change so bought one.

Nice colour you have there.

Great car. Often underrated by those not in the know but it has one of the best sorted front drive chassis and that brilliant engine too. Glad to see you are enjoying yours driving

I've had a go in one of these and have to say I much prefer it to the newer Civic Type R.

Awesome car to drive and will catch a lot of people out with it's pace.

Looks mint in that colour too!

Lovely. Out of interest, whats the real world fuel economy like with these? and how big is the boot exactly, would you get a mountain bike in it? (wheels removed)

I would say you could, easily. I got three sets of golf clubs in mine with room to spare.

Always liked them, and this looks like a very nice and well cared for example.

They will do 30mpg on a run quite easily, assuming your not cruisng around on nutter cams.

The boot is good, but you might struggle with a mountain bike. The rear seats don't fold, there is a bulkhead behind them to stiffen the structure.

My Dad had one for 3 1/2 years as a company car, I also got the pleasure of driving it on an weekly basis. They are simply quite superb, no car (with the execption of my Westfield and simialr) I have driven feels so light and nimble on it's feet, yet generates so much grip that it feels like is been fixed to the road surface with Raw Bolts!

I often wonder where my Dad's old one is, despite the factor some old codger wrote it off by t-boing it, it was put back on to the road..

Definitely can get a bike in the back, in fact I squeezed x2 Specialized Enduros in (with the wheels on the back seats).

Great car but I could never get on with the looks. Admittedly in red mine was a bit too obvious - in black it looks a lot more understated. Was always tempted to swap the rear wing for the more low key version on the Type S

Do you definately need a 4 door car?

You could always go for a DC2/DC5 as you can definately get 2 mountain bikes in the back of that with the front wheels taken out.

And you can get a DC5 on a 2000-2002 for £10-12K now.

I love mine, great handling, different, loads of room luggage-seats fold down as its a hatch.

Give one a try.

Thanks for the comments guys, they are brilliant to drive and i cant see me getting bored of driving it for a while unlike my older cars!!!

I get 23-35mpg, and thats mixed driving, but i havent had it long so its usually on vtecwink

as for the boot my dad has a 2005 3 series saloon im sure its bigger than that, although as said, the seats dont fold down as it has strengthening beams behind them
