Hi all thought i would add my project to this section smile

This Volvo will be used as our company demo car as we are a volvo tuner smile


Spec at the moment is this (its changing every week)

So far :

Ap330 mm front big brake kit,

Volvo V70R 330 mm rear discs and R calipers,

Koni Fsd shock kit and Eibach springs. (Changing to KW race spec coilovers very soon)

RT front adjustable camber kit

Autronic stand alone SM4 Ecu with complete wiring loom

Autronic controlled traction control

Autronic controlled launch control

Autronic controlled anti lag smile

Autronic cdi unit with 5 individual coils

Volvo engine bay ecu wiring all removed

Digital dash display covering all sensors for oil temp/water temp/oil pressure/exhaust gas temp/boost pressure/speed/tacho and carbon fibre surround

Front fogs removed and brake ducts added

Complete strip and re paint of underside of car with body coloured underseal

All parts cleaned and repainted/powdercoated to match

RT Custom Intercooler with three inch custom alloy pipe work .

RT Custom front panel mods

RT Custom modified / Strengthened bulkhead

RT Pedal box and brake bias valve

Complete Braided brake lines front to back

Aeroquipt hoses on all fuel and water lines

RT Spec Custom engine re build with RT Polished ported 3 angle valve seats with matching inlet manifold/conrods/pistons/cams and all engine parts balenced.

Custom equal length tubular exhaust manifold

3.5 Inch exhaust system from turbo to tailpipe smile

RT custom Intercooler with 3 inch alloy pipe work.

Interior stripped front and rear volvo seats removed

D2 front lightweight seats

Modified seat frames and runners

Willans 3 inch four point harness kit

Poly wishbone arm bushes

Custom RT front strutbrace

Custom RT rear strutbrace

Ipd Anti roll bar kit front/rear,

Adjustable,Anti roll bar end links

18 inch Genuine Volvo silver pegasus alloys wheels

Goodrich braided brake hose kit,

RT carbon boot trim cover,

RT carbon with yellow weave spark plug cover,and throttle body cover,

RT carbon front lip spoiler

Crystal head lamps and side light units.

Battery relocated to boot area

This is how it all started to look a real mess and not much room to work on under the bonnet



This is now up to date but still have much work to do before i am happy



















My first RR session at 1.8 bar boost :



And at 2.3 Bar





I still have lots to do and am currently changing cam selection etc etc to get the power delivery a bit more progressive smile

Is it an auto, it seems an odd RPM to start the run at confused

Looks great that does!

How did you do about doing the underside of the car? the shell should i say. Components are easy to tidy up but underseal is an absolute NIGHTMARE!

Hi there not sure on the current weight i have removed lots of bits from the standard car smile just the front and rear seats were 14 stone smile

i will weight it when i have finished tinkering smile

Thanks for the kind words smile The underside took about 100 hours to do we had to scrape all the old underseal off with a heat gun back to clean metal frown then looked in to the process of using coloured underseal (i did not know you could get such a thing) my brother then did the final prep and re painted it him self smile All the other parts where cleaned and re painted i will be having some powdercoated soon.

Hi there traction is a bit yikes even with the plate diff smile it spins its wheels easily in the dry in third at over *** (on a private track)the launch control and traction control will help smile

Thanks for your comments i will have a few times in the next few months smile i also own an Evo 6 which on the road people are expecting to be fast (but a yellow volvo there not smile )
