my mum has the 1.4 design. very easy to drive cars and a vast improvement on the old Corsa in terms of quality. The only thing that annoys me is the shiny black part on the dash with reflects in the windscreen. Yours is the SXI though, so I don't know whether the silver does that.
That would be one fault, but with such a big windscreen, I don't really notice it.we've got one (1.2 SXI) as a courtesy car at the moment while the Yaris is at the menders
nice car, i agree about the looks, quite rakish as a 3 door, altho' the ride is a bit on the firm side and its a bit cramped in the back IMO!
my folks complain, but i'd be quite pleased with one of these TBH, certainly a big (in many ways, physically and in some ways improvement wise!) step up from the old model Corsa we had as our old hack a while ago

They'd look great on an Opel Manta or similar but have no place on a modern Corsa.
Hi ITB.
What spec is your Corsa? My other half is looking to buy one and is set on a 1.4 SXi but a few reports I have seen suggest that the 1.4 is a bit sluggish and that the ride is a bit jiggly. She is not too worried about the ride but is about the perfomance. She currently drives a 1.5 (105) Megane dci and thinks this is sluggish but the performance times I have seen suggest that the Corsa is slower (0-60 anyway). I don't think she'll she much difference as being a petrol it'll seem a bit quicker off the mark than a diesel.
Any thoughts?

Mine is the 1.4 SXI. The engine is 60PS or 90bhp, it is nippy enough around town, but through 1st and 2nd it is a bit lethargic. I recently took it up to the Scottish Highlands, through all the narrow roads right up at the top and it was a hoot, engine more than coped with overtaking. IF you don't mind a diesel, try a 1.3 Cdti (make sure that its the 60PS version) as it's a cracking engine, bit weedy low down, but flies when the turbo kicks in, will sit at 0.75 leptons no problem.
The ride is a bit jiggly, but only at lower speeds (this is worsened by the fact I went for the 17" alloys). Get it up to speed on normal roads and it seems to be better. Handling is excellent, but make sure that your tyres are inflated to what the handbook says to make it even better.
The interior of the car is huge, rivals even the bigger Astra for space, but because of the big interior your boot is smaller, made even smaller by the split level boot, but it is handy. The dash is nice, the dials are easy to read. I may say that the steering wheel is a bit on the big side, but it is skinny so you can get a good grip to give it the beans in the corner.
I think the Corsa looks better than any of the rivals (Fiesta looks old, Clio is meh, 207 is ugly, Swift is Ok, but it's still a suzuki.
