Just been sorting through a few boxes of old photos and found these snaps of my old mini. Me and a mate did similar cars although mine was the budget version frown Mikes was de-seamed and had bucket seats and "expensive" alloys. Mine had a vinyl roof, steel wheels and a back box off an Audi with the baffles hammered out. Those spot lights must have slowed me down no end with only 38HP laugh Proper flared arches though wink Brings back some fond memories smile

Pick it up and run with it would probably be quicker smile

hehe

The one above was my near concours retro look showcar which wasn't really built for speed TBH. With the engine spec it had when that pic was taken it used to run mid 18's - which bearing in mind it was a mildly tuned 998 wasn't too shabby.

My hillclimber would have been significantly quicker with it's short-stroke 1040 full race engine - unfortunately it never went to the strip, just up and down hills.

At the time I also had a Cooper S daily driver with a Keith Calver built 1340 which ran mid/low 15's which was rapid enough to put a smile on your face and a yikes on some other drivers I encountered. biggrin
