Fantistic Great that you got the car you wanted and are enjoying it
I'm not raining on your parade just offering my experience from my wife's four and a half year ownership
Don't worry too much about revving it (it redlines at 8,000) but there no real piont going over 6,500 not that you need go that high the turbo cuts in around 2,200 so will pull from lower revs that's what makes it so nippy
Forget 50 mpg it's far too much fun for that
Here's some (edited) notes for you as a new owner they are what I left with my wife's car for the new owner
Hood
· Watch that the sun visors don’t get in the way of hood catches when raising or lowering the hood
· Don’t put anything on the rear window shelf as if it gets trapped it could be an expensive repair
Boot
· . . .to close gently push the aluminium boot lid onto the catch then the lid will pull itself fully shut
Bonnet
· . . . drop bonnet to close, do not push on it as it’s aluminium (as are hood and boot lid)
Driving
· Seat belt strap holders on the top of the side of each seat are only useful for very short people – if they are used watch that the seat belts don’t get caught in the door aperture when closing the door
· When driver only place passenger’s seat belt into the buckle to stop it rattling against side panel
· Turbo comes in around 2,200 rpm so there’s plenty of torque low down, altho’ the red line is at 8,000 there’s no point going much above 6,000
· Tyre pressure is 35 p.s.i. all round
· Rear tyres wear very slowly but front tyres more quickly so swap them round for more even wear
· Regular oil changes (with correct oil) and not letting the oil level get too low has kept one 1993 Daihatsu engine I know running without any work for 177,000 miles and still counting
Enjoy it - you've bought one of the few modern cars that is really fun to drive (and more fun than the 1300)
PS don't try it but, it's also one of very few cars that can actually reach it's claimed top speed
ETA: they love air filter changes but the Dai one was so dear I thought about looking for a K&N panel replacement

I had one for 2 years and i had alot of fun in it and it surprises loads of people i went on number of runs and it did very well.
The turbo is addictive and as posted before i would change around 5500 and 6000 for best results
Always have your lights on think like a moterbike because people will not be aware of you,i realy had no issues of lorries not seeing it is the large family saloons and MPVs
servicing go to a local dealer i have used West End Garage(Woking) and they are very helpful and very good service
Running cost if you keep the milage down then it is very good, tyres are rare but can be ordred by specialist company or dealer.
any other questions just ask

Wots that then ! - sorry no ideaTyres - swap them round when you can as I said the front wear quite qickly with spirited driving but the rears last ages
Perhaps best to allow some time to get hold of tyres altho' our local and regular performance tyres specialist got four the next day for us no problem
Use the car's grip and have fun (but catious in this weather)

Yeap it's a car that you actually have to drive if you are going at a good rate of knots that's what helps to make the car so much fun - we tend to get into bad habits driving (other) modern carsI try to use the brakes as little as possible on cars but I do know that on the Copen the the ABS/EBD do work well from looking the wrong way when crossing from the central reservation of a daul-carrigeway in France
My god so much fun has been had today!
Of course, we had to learn about the chuckablilty in the snow, as well as how to get it out the snow. I had to get to work tonight and it has taken us most of the day to even manage to get to the main road. This morning we were snowed in and saw this:
Last night as it started we managed to snap this. Had no idea how bacd it would get though.
