I saw one of those for the first time the other day, they do look cool in the flesh. Are they import only or can you buy them from a Nissan dealer.

Cheers Guys, nice response so far. They are import only although buying one is pretty straightforward through a decent source. The model I have is difficult to get as only a limited number have the options my car has including the CVT 6 speed paddle shift gearbox.

CVT is single speed/stepless transmission, a wonderful push belt between two sets of variable pulleys .... I looked into them years back for trying to adapt them to use on pedal bikes (some idea from a mates boss).

6 speed is probably just the software restricting the ratios, making it drive more like a normal auto.

But it really is a fantastic looking little box, very distinctive.

Yep, exactly that. It's good because when you floor it in CVT mode the engine revs up and then the gearbox catches up, the manual mode fixes the ratio to give direct drive when overtaking etc., and it's really smooth too.
