No one wants to ''rub'' anything in mate. Just a question, I feel bad that you crashed your car, I dont find it funny. How was the mk2 escort?

How did it happen? did you spin first? then he slammed into you? just seems a frontal impact that maybe you hit him?

Hope its all sorted now and she is running again?!

Then in reality its no-ones fault. On track that is the risk. On the road I think it would turn out to me jeff's fault would it not?

But Jeff did say the escort hit him? Unless Jeff had spun and was facing the wrong way? How did the escort hit the front of Jeffs car. Surely Jeff hit the escort!

I was only messing wouldn't think anyone would find it funny, i know it looks like front impact coz the bumper flew off the impact was side on he just turned into me and hit the front o/s wing, wheel etc. if it was my fault i honestly wouldn't of had my hands arround his neck lol, the car is still off the road coz i've been getting as much secound hand parts as i can for example the headlight has had it and for a new replacement its £700 +vat without fitting ouch!!

total list was suspension strut, hub ass. bottom arm, trackrod arm/end, head/l & indicator, wing and bonnet i've managed to get everything but the bonnet which i'm thinking of getting mine repared depending on cost compared to replacement we'll see and i need a indicator which isn't a problem and oh yeh i need some plastics from inner arch both sides as when the bumper flew off it snapped them and don't know if there will be anything else will know when they start on it tomorrow,

honestly not my fault and oh the escort was ok which was a pitty not very nice i know but hey he was a dick about it didn't even say sorry it was like tuff thats why i lost it...........

back on the road end of the week fingers crossed!!!!!

cheers guys for believing me ha ha ha ha

Have you costed it all with new parts? How much will you be saving yourself?

head/l £820, wing£160, bonnet £690, suspension strut approx £300, bottom arm £176, trackrod arm/end £70, hub ass. £170 approx
total £2,386

I've got the head/l for £190, wing £105, suspension strut £105, bottom arm new £176, trackrod arm/end £30, hub ass. £58, no bonnet yet

that works out less the price for the bonnet £1696 new
I got everything except bonnet for £664 sec/h
saving £1032

So its pays to look about and i don't see what's wrong with second hand parts the ones on there are in reality are 5 years old and the bits i got come off a 06 plate so they are newer and i've got 3 months warranty on them too so any probs they can go back, all i've got left to do is sort out the bonnet repair mine or get second hand one depends on cost i suppose and a few plastic bits inner arch, the front bumper has a chunk taken out of it but its being repaired, don't know if the wheel is like an egg yet fingers crossed its ok knowing my luck its oblong so there will be a post on here for second hand wheel probs doh..!!!

For anyone looking for second hand bits quarry motors are excellent cheep next day delivery & fabdirect.com they are prob the best about,

The guy doing the work is a big bmw fan got a garage in talbot green mid glam s. wales db motors really good mechanic if your in the area and want his contact details let me know he does all models makes of cars not just bmw's but thats his thang..........

cheers guys jeff (the comedian)
