Spent all day Saturday giving the Scoob it's first proper clean of the year..

Then it rained last night and looked like someone had chucked a bag of sand on it so did it again this morning rolleyes

Just got the car back from API engines, long story but now has a new 2.5 lined block, wossner forged pistons, forged rods and race bearings. Currently running in so limited boost but very pleased with it, remap at the end of the month and with the rest of the mods it has it should be good for an easy and safe 400+ bhp and torque..

Still haven't decided though if I'm gonna keep it, love the car but totally impractical / expensive for my daily commute..

Anyways - hope you enjoy !

This was a topic of debate on another forum over the weekend. A nationwide thing apparently.

Spent half of Saturday cleaning my car, so I got caught out by the sand too. Unfortunately I've also got some nesting starlings that keep stting on my car. frown

My mate has just sold his immaculate classic prodrive scooby to buy a £4k Audi A3 diesel. I loved that car - if it was me I'd keep your Impreza and get a boring diesel for day to day. To be honest I was surprised at how good the A3 diesel was!

Another victim of the 'sand rain' here!

Fantastic looking car you have there. smile

Slightly off topic but is that the Alpine X100/101 headunit you have (can't quite see)...if so what's it like, recommended?

Cheers for the comments all smile

It's the ida-x001, now being replaced by the ida-x100. Very good unit if you can live without the cd, the later model is slightly better in terms of usability..

Looks really nice !

However i'd love to see it with them wheels in anthracite.
Hardly stock STi colours but i think it would look neat =]

Have thought about darker wheels tbh to toughen it up a bit but kind of like the contrast from the silver. Not a fan of the traditional gold wheels though I'm afraid..

Couple of bigger pics..

I think with a carbon front splitter, or even just keeping it as it is.. with darker wheels (not gold! - not unless your building a proper track/rally car anywaywink) would look the nuts =D

I think black wheels would go nicely with the simple plain blue paintwork.

Are you near the Birmingham area cos I got that sand thing on my car over the last 2 days. Should we be blaming this on global warming? lol
