That's gorgeous.

I'm actually looking for a Beetle for the OH (thats what she thinks anyway!) I'll be using it as well to keep the miles down on the 964.

What should I be looking to pay for a half decent solid example?

thats a very open ended question. depends what your looking for. you can go for something later for easier parts and slightly more refined or earlier which imo are very much prettier and alot more hassle for parts. cruise vzi to get an idea of what you want.

sorry to hijack! sweet cal looker!!!

Just another of the inside...

Its had a Bernard Newbury retrim, new carpets, simpson belts, Empi wheel, Berg shifter, new door cards and bamboo shelf. Its got an Alpine head unit in the glove box and Infinity 6x9's on the rear shelf.

Engine wise its a stock 1300cc with a 4 2 1 header and muffler, new carb, new tinwear, electronic ignition, new dizzy, leads, filter etc.

Upfront its on a lowered puma beam with AVO shocks and at the rear its just dropped one spline with new shocks and bushes etc. Planning to put the rear back up to standard and put some beefier tyres on and then chop a couple of inches out the front beam.........oh and not forgetting the 76 arial ball!.

Bodywork, totally standard but its had US spec front lights and rear lenses, new running boards, new bumpers, respray in original Java green and a set of replica BRMS on Firestone rubber.

New motor and trans when the budget allows!.
