a few of you may have seen my old 69 bug with a kinda rallye style to it. the engine on that decided to spit a load of fuel back out the carb and preceded to set the back end on fire.

so after some deliberation i decided to go all out and buy an oval window 1955 to replace it. its had a decent bit of work done to the suspension but i intend to powder-coat and redo as much of the underneath as possible and keep the rest as is.

Lovely looking bug there matebiggrin

Always wanted an oval but could never afford one so ended up with a 1960 bug instead.

Had it for 13 years and never got the thing on the road. Sold it about 5 years ago ( not through choice ) and finally bought it back again last year all up and running.biggrin

Thats awesome, but ouch its low!. You want to get it on airbags mate so you can raise it up for getting up and down driveways etc!. What motor are you running?, needs a big hoofer out the back!.

As has been said by others, I wanted an oval but couldnt stretch to one so got a 67 instead.

airbags are for woosies and big girlies.

na, at the moment this car is daily driven everywhere and survives by the skin of its teeth. i work on it every weekend keeping it running, which is costing me a fortune but is so worth it. to airbag it would be a couple of grand.

if i could afford that i could afford a stonker of an engine, raise the back up, and add some sticky tyres for the traffic light grand prix!!!

Phwoar! love the stance, are you running shocks up front? would love an oval but for the money thay cost i doubt it would happen and i'd never part with my 65.

The camber on the back wheels, does it not wear the tyres?
