Normally I don't like modified cars but I quite like this one.

Good job IMO. Not OTT smile

It's certainly not my favourite style of car, but for what it is it looks quite well done. Paintwork looks lovely in the last photo.

good job.

Im not a fan of modified cars either i dont like body kits or the whole show car thing but for some reason i like mine. As you say its not OTT like most max power cars etc. I think its quite subtle, well apart from the colour

I would imagine you could have bought an st for the amount you've spent "improving" that.

Maybe he didn't want an ST in the first place?

to be completely fair, that bodykit looks damn well joined, most that I have seen around here have huge gaps. It's a very neat car I must admit.

Just pre - warning you, PH isnt very welcoming to any modified cars, so just prepare for inconsiderate insults and sarcasm.

Other than that, nice little motor, I say. Now get a nice bit of power in there and have the oomph to back up the reserved looks. Dont let it become all show and no go smile

Trust me im itching to get more horsies under the bonnet but with insurance its a no no at the moment. But when i do decide to do that ill either consider buying a more powerfull car which is probably the most sensible thing to do OR i like the sound of a racing puma engine on throttle bodies. If it is going to be done then its gotta be done right... smile

good man.

get a super sleeper like an old VW beetle and stick an impreza motor or a really well built flat 4 in the back. Most fun I have had in all my life, you will not believe the amount of jaws that drop.

anyway, nice car mate.

Nice tidy car actually, Do like the ST orange. Looks great, and like you say yeah not OTT which most modified cars are....

I'm currently doing up my 96 Honda Civic Coupe, nothing to rash just subtle/tidy job like your Fiesta smile as for the puma engine that would be a nice idea, but if ya really wanna enjoy more HP go with RWD you just cant have high horse power fun in a FWD car :P

Hmm, not totally true, but a quote from the founder himself only yesterday;

Sorry, I still don't think PH is about bolting plastic onto your car. Passion or no passion.
does set the tone.

You can be sure of getting one thing here, and that's an opinion. Whether you take it to heart or not is an individual thing.

To the OP, personally, not for me at all, although I do approve of the colour.

Fair play to you the work looks dead on, just think it would look better with a normal bonnet?

Thanks for the comments and i realise that everyone has diferent opinions and that this wont be to everyones taste. As for the whole thing about wether this site is for me , i definetely think it is, regardless as to wether i have a modified car or not. I am a true car enthusiast and i know alot about carsand have a huge interest in them, thats the reason why i come on pistonheads. And even thought i have a modified car i am no way a boy racer or chav infact i hate 99% of modified cars and would pick up and evo mag over "Fast car" any day of the week! lol.

Fair play mate, Theres a wide range of people on PH, all car mad and I think thats what PH is about.

As for your Fiesta, I dont personally like it myself but it is well done and those Zetec S's are so good to drive! my housemate at uni had one and it was a great little car.

Looks rather bright but not my cup of tea with the colour..

Re: more horsies I really wouldnt bother, The 1.6 engine seems rather expensive to get any decent gains out of it and even then its not earth shattering.

Maybe save up for an ST or something for when the insurance is right...

I'm far from fond of modified superminis but i don't mind that, it doesn't look too bad. For some reason though, the front reminds me of Jimmy Carrs face.
It just has that look about it.

Yeah i dont think i will do anything else with the engine, as you said its just not worth it from a 1.6. Would cost a fortune and even then it wouldnt be a fast car. Ive just decided to go to uni this year now so hopefully i will be off there in September, so there goes having a fast car down the drain for a few years. smile
