My car history plus current car project
Discussion
Starting with the boring stuff (you will see)
My first car was a clio 1.9 diesel, lasted a little while but then blew the head gasket. So i saved this MK2 XR2 from my friends garden and ran it for a year or so.
Me running it in an autocross at uni
But as all fords eventually do it got too rusty to repair, so i bought this
Engine was a bit ropey so swapped it for a 1.9 GTi version but kept the 1.6 box, makes it pretty nippy.
not done many mods but it has a pugsport GroupN exhaust and a quickshift gear linkage.
Picture of it looking shiney
About 6 weeks ago i moved out to America to stay with my dad for a while and get some engineering experience.
Few pictures of cars hes had since hes lived here:
Me in the drivers seat (far too young to be driving)
Then he moved onto this
Unfortunatly the viper found some ice and a corner at the same time in a desert! and ended up in a ditch.
Nice little S2000 as a stop gap
This is his current car
Aaaaaand this is my run around while im here
Not quite as exciting, its pretty slow and has no power and even manages rubbish MPG, but it guess its kinda fun.
While im here as i mentioned above im helping my dad design some cars, an engineering degree doesnt count for much without some practice. Here are a few renderings of the bodys.
Carbon fibre tub and a LS7 motor.
Also doing a roadster version
Hope you enjoy :-D
