my track weapon
Discussion
Well sold my beach buggy that i spent 2006/2007 building.. always the way, thought i would never sell it but interests change i suppose! Anyway, got good money for it and decided to buy myself a road legal track car.
After lots of searching i found a Fisher Fury that was exactly what i was after.
4 days ago, trip up to norwich to pick her up (4 and a half hours each way!)
Very very happy
the most insane car i have ever driven, much more brutal than i was expecting. Honda fireblade powered. Dynoed carbs, baffled sump. built to race in the 750 class. Which it did a few times, but previous owner was a little too careful to drive hard and risk smashing it (understandable!) also won the Pembury Endurance.
I love the way it looks. Classic racer look about it.
I think the clutch was on its way out when i got it, and my 300 odd miles hasnt helped it. Got in yesterday to take advantage of the weather again and clucth slipping like mad. So i stripped down and replaced. just need to finish when nex thome on saturday.
My plans are to take it to a few track days, and maybe start some hill climb events. may look into chnaging the RS wheels to some revolutions. New stickers and bit of a tidy up etc.
anyway... some pics!

L100NY : yea it was advertised on here... had to have it as soon as i saw it. fitted the bill perfectly, i would have built it to look more or less like this, love the classic look.
Found some nice minilites here.. but worried about the replica wheels a bit.. what the general opinion?

These are great cars.
You're right about changing the wheels as those ones are heavy - on a car like this you want light wheels and you can't beat compomotive cxr's in 13"x6". For around £90 they weigh 4.5kg which will be at least 2kg a wheel lighter than those so that's a saving of 8kg of unsprung rotational mass ie. a lot!

750 refers to the 750 motor club, they are a racing club who run a series of car championships. This car raced in the 750 motor club (mc) Road Going Bike Engined Championship or RGB for short. I race in their kit Car Champs.

Great looking little flying machine!
I take it the 750 class doesn't relate to engine size (as fireblade engines are 900cc or larger); what does it refer to?
