Nice car. My first was an Austin Allegro my mum gave me. I think the Zetec wheels will work out well. Do you have any other plans regarding upgrades?
Cheers. Theres a bit of damage to the right hand side of the back bumper which i will get round to getting fixed and see if the guys can remove the Ghia badge and buff it up and i'll maybe get a zetec badge for it. Only other planned upgrade is a zetec spoiler. Can pick them up on ebay for around £50. Not sure how its fixed to the boot though as i cant see any signs of fitting so I think i could be a trip to the scrappy to see if theres any Zetecs with spoilers.
Any suggestions ?
I thought about lowering it but i'm going to wait till' the Zetec alloys are on it then decide if it looks right as im not sure if theres a height difference between the Ghia and Zetec, anybody know ?
I'm thinking also about a full respray as the paintwork is starting to fade and the lines where the car has been cleaned are beginning to show up. Any ideas of prices for a metallic respray in the same colour ?
Other minor upgrade suggestions would be appreciated.

Tidy first car that, smart.
But why do you want to put a zetec badge on it?
I hate when people start a look-a-like and dont finish it. But why do you want to put a zetec badge on it?
For mine to be a zetec look-a-like, it wont take much, alloys, spoiler and Zetec badge.
2/3 will be getting done anyway so might aswell do it all

I wouldn't have thought a car of that age would be in need of a respray, unless it's been constantly washed with wire wool Paul
A good machine polish sounds more likely

Get a pro. to give it a good valet (it will cost you a bit, but cheaper than a respray), you will be surprised how rough paintwork can buff up better than new! Have a read through the bodywork forums on here to see what can be achieved!I'm thinking also about a full respray as the paintwork is starting to fade and the lines where the car has been cleaned are beginning to show up. Don't bother with the badge, it isn't a Zetec so why pretend it is? Just de-badge it and keep every-one guessing

Yes, it would bring it back to as new

No drastic modifications they need to know about.

I'm not bothering about telling my insurance company about changes.

So you have a fronted policy, not declared your modifications, you work for an Insurance company and your full name is in your profile? tt.No drastic modifications they need to know about.
Will tell them when the wheels are fitted !
