It made 420bhp when it was mapped but i run at quite low boost so i guess it rolls around at around 380 or so? I'm not really fussed about power figures, it's quick that's all that matters, haha!

Slowly getting it ready for a trip to the Nurburgring in the summer so brakes need looking at before then and possibly the exhaust as it's a little loud.

I've owned it for about a month and so far so good.

I've gone into ownership wide eyed so i'm aware of all the problems you can get with them, i just hope this one with it's substantial service history and recent rebuild will give me many trouble free miles, but we shall see.

I had the car checked over and compression checked by Pip at WGT prior to buying it, which if your looking to buy one i'd reccomend doing certainly puts your mind at rest a little.

I use this as a second car my day to day will always be around should the st hit the fan with the RX! Although i'm in it for work today as the weather is nice and it seems a shame not to show the freshly polished paint work off wink

Pip did my 1st rebuild (3 years back) and his workmanship was superb. Definately worth getting a potential purchase checked over by an expert but even then good compression won't show deteriorating water seals or other issues! that's the downside with 15+ year old cars - many of the components are quite worn (water pupm, alternator, etc).

Yous looks lovely though - those wheels work really well with the standard body.

Absolutely stunning...I think I will be looking for one soon.

How bad is the engine rebuild reputation?

Stunning. Saw one of these last night in Orange and I needed a second look to realise what it was, you don't see many around any more.

Love FD Rex's. Almost bought one when I was 19 but the 2k insurance put me off, was a gorgeoue red one also.
I'd own one now but I can barely afford to eat & run my current car, the '7 would have me living off air frown

short answer yes.

single turbo it, and you'll even get decent economy 'off boost' (apparently hehe)

Absolutely beautiful machine!! Those wheels are stunning, and a nice agressive counterpoint to the smooth and flowing lines of the body. cloud9

I'm sure you'll have many miles of fun with it!
