n00bie - (another) Kiwi in London, bit of a BMW E30 Fan
Discussion
I just spent an awful lot of time reading through 39 pages of all the members car arses...loving it! some beautiful cars on the site.
I am a kiwi but currently living in London, missing cars terribly! Have to get my kicks from rental cars every now and then...love the crazy narrow English country roads in Kent in a wee Golf
Loving the variety of cars and members round here..coming from BMW specific forums it makes a nice change!
I thought I should post some pics of my current e30 up (it is in NZ, being babysat). I was lucky enough to pick it up dirt cheap from a friend who was having great trouble selling it so I got quite a deal..had about NZD$30k spent on it at least if not more. I am really looking forward to developing it a little further when I am back in NZ...rebuilding the suspension with a few bits and pieces like I have done with my other e30s (I had 325i Sport I rebuilt most things on excluding the engine bottom end)
NZ New 1990 318iS Coupe in Brilliant Red
All iS options - black headliner, Recaro seats in tartan like pattern.
Illuminated gear knob, Illuminated (orange) VDO Boost/Oil Pres/Oil Temp gauges.
15" basketWeaves.
iS front lip.
Mtech1 sideskirts
Mtech2 wing. (now gone for a more low profile mtech 1)
Smoked indicators.
///M spraypainted Cosworth intercooler.
Mechanical.
M42 motor.
JE forged pistons.
Mosselman M42 exhaust manifold/intake boot.
Garret T3 Turbo from Sierra Cosworth - Internally WG.
Sierra Cosworth Intercooler.
Motec M4 ECU. Individual coil direct fire ignition. Electronically controlled boost (from Motec)
3.64 Limited slip diff.
Eibach springs with Koni Single Adjustable Shocks.
Stats:
165 rwkW @ 13 psi. - stloads of torque (350 Nm , dyno dynamics dyno).
- This improved to around 170rwkw, approx 270-280 hp at the fly
Possible mid 13s 1/4. Have run 14.00 on much less power/street tyres.

Thanks for reading, I look forward to being a useful member!
