This is My Dads Lotus Excel S.A.

190bhp (around that figure) totally stock (but some new carbs are going on it soon), owned for 2 years now without a single major fault

just one of about 40 built (sorry about crappy pics, they were taken with my phone)









I wonder if anyone else on here has an Excel?

Nice car.

I grew up with my father's Eclat, and now have an Elise.

Change the badges though, TAGL.

We kept the badges mainly because it keeps the car authentic (the Colin Chapman memorial badges),but on the other Lotus (thats being restored) we have the newer badges

Thanks! we had a 1990 Excel S.E. back when I was about 9 (18 now!), but we had to sell it due to it being less than practical

it was great to get another one (we've had it for 2 years) it was also great to grab such a fine Automatic example

that looks really nice the excel is one of my favourite lotus cars , a mate of mine has a red 88 se but he never uses it now though which is a shame as we had some good trips out in it.

My dad wouldn't trade it for anything and he has refused to even think about selling it
