Hi

This is my Banger

I actually brought this car on purpus belive it or not. I actually run a website called http://www.bangernomics.2freedom.com/ and am into old cars and bangernomics!

Fiestas are bog standard second-hand buy for people who simply want to travel from A to B in "relative" comfort for maximum economy. Which is why I brought this one read myBlogto see how I am getting on with it. Fiestas are the Best cars for Bangernomics because they are cheap to run and repair yourself plus thousands of parts everywhere, insurance is low and with everybody buying fords in the early 90's this means second-hand prices are lower than limbo.

I always thought bangernomics involved enjoying what you were driving?

Having the smug realization that you were driving something better than everyone else whilst paying a pittance for it.

Hi. This is a car website. You don't need to tell people this sort of stuff! I admit that your website is fairly informative to people who aren't in the know, but I fear it's wasted on us!

Oh and the past participle of the verb "to buy" is "bought" not "brought", which is the past participle of the verb "to bring".

There's no such word as 'purpus' either, unless it's some obscure animal

I've had 2 MK3 Fiestas plus a third that I bought for spares, all 1.8 diesels and done 60,000miles between them. Rather horrid things to drive but as cheap as chips to run. Even managed to tow my Alfa 75 3.0l when the clutch went 50miles from home.

dont like the mark 3s but the mark 2 fiestas are cool - rare as hens teeth these day though.

bought a nice one as a stop gap car for my girlfriend last summer for £140, but she didnt like it so I ended up using it - retrotastic! biggrin
