Hi all,

I have had this car about 3 months no and its a great car. Its well built, quick and doesn't stand out like a sore thumb. The car has had alot of money spent on it not just on the engine, but on the exterior and also the interior. I have always like the Mk4 golf's and then I saw this one I decided to go for it.

Plans for the car is to go stage 3, Quaiffe LSD, Stealth Look (black rims, etc), Porky Big Breaks and a few other bits and bobs.

The current spec is as follows:

5 SPEED MANUAL GEARBOX.
MET BLACK PAINTWORK.
FULL BLACK LEATHER.
BRUSHED ALUMINIUM DASH TRIM.
CARBON ENGINE COVER.
KKK K04 HYBRID TURBO
FORGE LARGE FRONT MOUNTED INTERCOOLER.
FORGE ACTUATOR (21 psi)
FORGE UPRATED RE-CIRCULATING DUMP VALVE.
AUDI S3 MAF.
BOSCH 985 INJECTORS.
MILLTEK DE-CAT EXHAUST.
MILLTEK STRAIGHT THROUGH EXHAUST.
4" ANNIVERSARY TAILPIPE.
INDUCTION KIT.
CUSTOM RE-MAPPED ECU BY JBS (STAGE 2) - rolling roaded at 283bhp (at the fly)
SAMCO/FORGE BOOST PIPES.
VAG 4bar FUEL REGULATOR.
SPAX RSX COIL OVER SUSPENSION.
WERTEC ANTI ROLL BAR.
REPOSTITIONING DROP LINKS.
AUDI TT FRONT BRAKES 312mm (FULL CONVERSION)
PAGID FAST ROAD PADS.
BBS CH 8.5 x 19" ALLOY WHEELS WITH EXCELLENT 235/35 R19 TYRES.
FULL ANNIVERSARY BODYKIT.
MK5 WIPER CONVERSION.
EURO STYLE REAR LAMPS.
COLOUR CODED BADGES.
DE-WIPERED TAILGATE.
BOOST GAUGE ON SCREEN PILLAR.
ALPINE CDA-9853R MP3 HEAD UNIT WITH INFINTY SPEAKERS THROUGHOUT.
SONY 350watt AMP AND INFINITY 10" D10 SUB.

No not going down the IHI route. Im taking the JBS04 route. I have all the parts to go down this route, all im missing now is a re-map and setting up. The turbo I have at the moment is a K04 hybrid so should be able to run stage 3. Im going to let JBS have a look at the unit first before the boost gets turned up and re-mapped, but should be looking at 300bhp+ so LSD will be required lol.

Looks cool.
Why the wiper conversion ? And why remove the one from the back ?

The rear wiper has been removed to give the car a smoother look on the rear and also to avoid the well know MK4 rear wiper leak. It has had the Mk5 Wiper conversion because I think they look better and the wiper is a better quality.

Cheers for all the comments. I am debating changing the wheels to black. Below is a photoshop of the wheel in black and I think they look really nice.

Do it! These wheels look so much meaner in black. Maybe a bit cheasy, but to avoid the 'steel wheel' look, you could ad a pinstripe round the edge.

Anyway, great car!

On that photoshop the wheel is completly black, but the lad who is spraying them will do doing the Motorsport writing in Red so that should take a bit of the harshness out the black. We had a look at the Pin Stripe but im not too keen on it.

What a fantastic looking car.

IMHO I would keep the wheels in their standard colour. They are legendary wheels and I wouldn't tamper with the colour.

Good to see a golf that isn't bodykitted up from halfords, but actually has some power under the bonnet, unlike the standard ones.
21 psi is quite a lot of boost for a golf!
