Agreed, something a little less subtle would suit my personal tastes, apart from that, i really quite fancy that! Nice job! smile

Thanks for the comments.

This is what she looked like when I bought her in 2006, so a few changes. Quite a lot under the skin too.

looked a bit fast and the furious back then eh! hehe i think what you have done is all to the good.

how do you find the insurance? did you even bother looking at CTRs? i always think these ITRs will have criminal premiums..

I owned two EP3s before. Insurance is a bit of a mare to be honest, if you're under 25 then most of the few companies left won't even quote you. And even if you are 25 or over then pray you have some NCB as they will just laugh at you.

0 NCB for me, lost it all due to some silly bint going from the outside lane on a round-about through my lane onto the exit. Insurance said my fault, w@nkers. Anyway, 25, 0NCB, CV11 post code (now SP2, need to change that with them), SP30 3 points Dec 03 £60 fine, SP50 5 points Oct 06 £250 fine, one claim, clifford fitted etc and I paid £1800. Yes I'm mad but I can afford it and if it didn't go on insuring the car I'd spend it on something else, like booze or home entertainement. Worth it for me.

that doesn't sound too bad overall...
when we first insured our MCS (gay, hairdresser, estate agent etc) it cost £800 (inc chilli) at 25 years old in the wife's name with 1or2 years NCB for business use (me having had a similar incident to yours (ish) but both clean licences)...an ep3 would have cost us around 1500, an impreza was 1700, a golf gti (if could have afforded) 1350, a clio 1350.. madly a focus RS would have been £900!

On average it costs me about 30-40% more to insure then an EP3. However insurance is a strange thing and it's alway different for different people. Fingers crossed I'll be claim free this year and that figure should tumble, in addition to be being able to get quotes from more companies to help drive the prce down.

Car looks lovely. I've got a right fetish for the DC5s recently. Unfortuantely just out of my price range though.

On another note regarding insurance, I'm 21, 1 years no claims, working in the Police and driving a Golf GTI which costs just a £1000 a year.

Checked my insurance recently, a Mini Cooper S is only £700, Impreza is £1500, Supra only £900 and a VX220 Turbo only £1000. All fully comp as well.

Fantastic looking car..

Love the aggressive front end look,

However i think you should concentrate on a 'Touring Car' type of look if you want to keep the wing..
Low, aggressive, loads of negative camber etc.

Looks ace in black too =]

If you pay my tyre bill I'll slap on -4 degrees of camber mate quite happily. I'll justt stay away from any straight road as it'd be a pib.

I ran 14.6 at the Pod @ 100mph or so. First ever go, won't be doing it again.

Nice car. I think I remember you from the type R boards when I had my EP3. Also in SP2 so I'll keep my eye out!
