Lovely car! I love that colour, really suits the E46 Coupe, same colour as my E36 Coupe. I hope you've got the complimenting Light Beige / Cream Leather?
Whats wrong with your pictures?? If you want to see someone who is rubbish with a Camera go into the BMW Forum, to the show me your BMW and see the pics of my BMWs the cars are gorgeous, the pictures are not!!
Why do you want to swap the car? Want a little more power? Really it's up to you but unless you see something just as special as yours is to you, I wouldn't bother (says the mad car swapper, lol!)
The only thing I'd do away with is the private reg. Though your car is lovely it's not a B3 (which is in the number plate people may think your trying to pass your car off as somethingit isn't), so unless it means something to you of course I would perhaps sell it onto a B3 owner!!

The B3 hadnt even occurred to me, but now you mention it, maybe i should get a B3?
You are right about the colour, its Ruby Red II, im led to believe its the only coupe in the country in the colour and the BMW dealer tells me it cost the original owner £2k as a cost option when new - which surprises me as you'd think if he was spending that much on the colour then he'd have spec'd a few more options.

I tend to take salesman chat with a pinch of salt when looking to buy a car, they (well, some not all) chat bks to try to shift the cars.Mattt said:

B3's are lovely, I've looked at and drove a few if you want anymore info, give me a shout, I know a good one for sale actually!
Ah, I thought it was Calypso Red (Same colour as my E36) obviously not!! Perhaps he spent all he could on the colour?
Maybe he just fell in love with the colour and had to have it. The only other extras were the wheels, individual door sills, auto lights (which i dont use) and tyre pressure monitor. Would have much preferred bluetooth or sat nav/TV but beggars cant be choosers.
The other issue i have with my car is that i got such a good deal. I bought it 6 months ago from a guy who bought it less than 2 months previously as a BMW AUC with warranty etc. Even now, when i look in the classifieds, similar age/mileage cars are going for £1000 - £2000 more than i paid for it, and thats privately. So on one hand I have more car than i paid for, and on the other now is the time i could sell it on for what i paid for it. Nightmare.
The poor guy went bankrupt, one mans poor fortune = another ones good fortune!

Sounds like just the kinda deal I love!! Nice one, for you of course. Not that I wish anyone bankrupt. The other issue i have with my car is that i got such a good deal. My 330Ci had just about every option you could spec, yes including a TV, don't get that myself why on Earth you need a TV in your car but if I'm in my car all I want to do is take it for a hoon down some country lanes vrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom hence why I prefer older cars.
I'll send you an email regarding when and how to maximise profit on selling your car, my email is playing up so I'll set up another email on here to send it, might take a little bit of time!! 'Cos we all like to make a bit.
Regards,
Nicola

That's a stunning colour. Personally i'd far rather get one in that shade rather than the dull silvers and greys every other BMW seems to be painted in.
Cheers, i completely agree, E46 coupes are becoming so commonplace on the roads now that its nice to have one that is a little different and still stands out.It is certainly the case that people stop and stare when its just been washed and waxed.
I was told by a dealer when i looked at a 968 that he was wary of the colour and selling it on, i told him he was talking rubbish and that its a unique selling point; anything to offer me less for my car!
