2 - ford fezza - well, cheap, cheerful (maybe), parts are cheap as fook, and easy to work on, but what they like to drive?
3 - fiat Cinquecento sporting - really would like to get one of these and there quiet cheap to buy run and i can imagin them handling well, bit like a mini?
any advice would be most awesome, thanks(Y)

Fiat Cinq great fun but even with lowered and upgraded springs and dampers it will not handle like a standard Mini and still have lots of body roll so you might as well keep the Cinq standard (but well maintained and not worn out suspension) and get used to the body roll and (now prepare for a shock) and just go a bit slowerany advice would be most awesome, thanks(Y)
IMO Cinq is fantastic fun and in comparison the other two are bloated, oversized, overweight and very conservative - just my opinion
Keep it near standard and enjoy it for what it is - that applies to any car (IMO)
hmmmmmmmm thanks for that guys, will keep a look out for a good one, and tbh it would be nice to have something a little sporty(Y).
But failing that i also just thought about the mk1 clio, a mate of me dads had one a diesel liberte and said it was a great car, i drove up the drive once and it did feel like a nice car, and i like renaults tbh, anyone had good experience with one?

Mk2 Polos are a wise choice
I had one of these as my first car. It was the 1.3 Coupe S which was supposed to be the sporty version but the UK ones only had 55 bhp. It was fun though. Really good steering and surprising grip on its 165 tyres. The brakes are dreadful though and there is little you can do about it without major expense, other than fit some decent pads. It was also completely bomb proof. I believe its still going to this day. I've had some MK3 Polos as well but they weren't a patch on the MK2. They did something with the suspension set up and it never felt quite right. Fuel injection was a big plus though. I've never had a MK1 but my parents had two of them (we like our Polos!). My Dad still raves about the MK1 so they must be ok (the Audi 50 was the same car by the way) but you might struggle to find one these days.DON'T buy a clio whatever you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You want to drive it don't you??? not pay rent for it to live in a garage, and when it does finally work the roof will leak and the interior will fall apart, dreadful cars, driving position awful, clutch awful, gearbox and steering wheel position terrible. I wouldn'twish one on my worst enemy!!
