Been driving 3 and a half years now, and while studying, not been able to afford a new car. Would love something faster, but funds dont allow it just yet.
Still its a 1.3 SPI engine, 1996, Limited Edition Mini Equinox, so its got a half leather interior, which is nice. Good runner never failed a MOT, and gets me from a 2 b.
I was donated the car from my sister, who had a lorry go into the back of it (missed the subframes), but turned the car to having a flat back end.. but a new panel, boot, etc and a big hydraulic jack and bracing later and she's straight as a die.

That's lovely - I wanted one of them as a first car but got a 106 instead. I hope to be able to have one to restore once I've graduated.

biggrin.

Thats my car, in the family we have 2 other minis, Both cooper sportpacks. Both are from the last 500 made. One in Tahiti blue with about 1200 miles, and the other is BRG.
Also have 2 Triumph Dolomites, Both as new basically, a SE with 13,000 miles and a HL with about 15,000 on the clock. On the SE we have only just changed the tires from the originals biggrin.

Very tidy - that's exactly how a mini should look.

Gorgeous mini there- Its a pity they cost so much money these days or my first car would definately be one (although I have been saving for a mini since I was 5, so I should have enough for at least a tatty one in a year or so).

I got the 2nd one blown up on my wall... i would like to say id spent hour preparing that shot, but it actually took me .5 of a second, with my old point and shoot.

Mini's arent that exspensive to be honest. £1000 will get you a runner, and aslong as your prepered to do a bit of work to keep it legal then there quite cheap. My car owes me nothing, so i love it even more.

Yeah, i wish i had something jap with a turbo, to be honest. But that mini is a keeper. Once my brother is up and driving i have some nice little plans for that car.

Begin with the brake upgrade, disks back and front, coil overs all round etc, remove the very nice interior and go for the empty shell, single seat and cage etc.

Engine probably wouldnt change, the 1275 isnt bad to be honest, although a transplant would be nice, maybe a Vtec lump. But then the car looses some drivability.

All this subject to getting a job that came provide enough income of course biggrin
