Work is slowly going forward on my MR2 V6, here are the latest pics.

Going retro on the rear end, from white rev3 to smoked rev2 look.
Also Autopista spoiler in place of standard item (side pieces yet to be fitted).

Wheels also changed to Work Equip split rims, (still to be refurbed).

Front under bumper splitter & cannards.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I kinda agree with you about the cannards, wasn't too keen at first, but they are growing on me. The idea was that the would balance the rear smoked lights, being the only dark bits on the car. Besides, now I have drilled the nosecone to fit them they are staying, at least until I can find another decent one!!!

Which V6 are you going for, 3VZ, 1MZ, 5VZ?

Like the wheels too.

Ah fair enough, nice bit of detailing there.

Lyndon has appeared on TB and really seems to know his stuff. Good job driving

What spec is the engine, did you have any work done on the heads at all, upgraded engine components etc?

What sorta power you getting out it with the G3?

And big a dod of Nos is that?

Olberj.

The head was ported, but no strengthening or uprating of the bottom end was done. Although the nitrous is fully plumbed in we have decided it would be better to map it on the road sometime soon when the roads are in better condition. I have jets for 50, 75, 100, & 125 bhp extra, we just intend to mess around and see which setup works best.

Rob.

I think the engine is around 30kg heavier than the 3sGTE engine.
No power figures yet, will wait until the nitrous is fully working & then take it to Thor for a "at the hubs" figure. Will probably be between 200 to 225bhp without the gas I would think.

I have driven and/or owned MR2's in standard/lightned n/a form, revs 1,2 & 3 turbo's in standard & modified form, up to 400bhp. My seat of the pants dyno tells me that as it is, without the gas, its about as quick as a standard rev 3 turbo in a straight line. I would say that with the better low down torque & better throttle response it would be faster on a track, but this has yet to be proved.

There's a fair bit of chat on TB the now, i reckon with your G3 and a new intake, with the headwork mentioned you'll be able to set that up over 250BHP with the torque to match.

The 3VZ has been de-tuned and strangled in so many ways, there's plenty potential to come here.

Oh yes, and there's the noise biggrin
