Hi all,

I bought this remarkable, un-molested example about 3 months ago. It is completely as Honda intended. All services present and complete with Honda stamps.

I have enjoyed every day of ownership to date, I can not fault it. It does make me wonder what the natural "step up" would be.

Perhaps I'll see some of you on the Evo Triangle one weekend.

1.8, 187bhp. according to evo 0-60 in 6.2 and 0-100 in 17.9 iirc. weigh about 1080kg.

Killer - Thanks. If you can get out to some twisty, less congested roads, I can vouch that this car is such good fun.

Combover - Again, thanks. The drive - brilliant fun! I can see why it's an Evo 5 star car. I'm still getting used to the lack of understeer, considering its FWD - that's no bad thing!

ITR - I'm going to struggle when the time comes to upgrade (it wont be for a few years yet - judging by the grin on my face). I guess I'll have to browse the Evo 5 star section again!

Hackett - as TR said, 1.8. A revvy 1.8 at that!

IRF - thanks for the figures, I think Honda have done a bloody good job at keeping her light!

Thanks all, nice to hear that people still like a bit of good engineering.

I've had my ITR for about 15 months now, absolutley superb car. Hope your enjoying yours? Not the best grip in these greasy roads, but wait till the summer, you will find out just how well these cars handle.

Think the "step up" for me would be an Elise or VX220. Want to keep the DC2 for another year or two, but I'm saving the pennies smile

Very nice smile

Had one earlier on this year for a bit and it totally lived up to all the hype. Just how does it make soooooo much grip through those skinny 195's!? Absolutely amazing drive.

You'll find the diff likes to eat the front tyres though wink Well actualy, its more to do with the driver mashing the throttle comeing of those rondabouts.... lol.

Roastie - you're right, it is a superb car. I am throughly enjoying it, even in wet conditions it's just so controllable and easy to adjust.

I did look at a VX220 prior to getting the Teg but I don't think I could do the daily drive in one. The 7am commute to work would soon start to wear! But I guess needs must in the search for the next grin-inducing car!

Rich - Thanks. Wow, beautiful Integrale you have there! Yeah the feeling of the diff is completely alien to me! FWD car, so if I floor it here it..oh wait it just turns harder! Haha brilliant.

lol thats exactly what i got mixed up with. I remember when he told me it was only a 1.8 i thought that was small for the performance figures especially being NA. When i wrote it was a 1.3 i thought its not a rotary engine so kind of thought i was wrong as i posted it but it is still a relatively small engine for the performance figures. S'pose thats what you get if it weighs the same as a match.

Any way, nice car mate beer

Did an oil change in mine just before Christmas for some Silkolene Pro S 5w40 and it now revs smoother. Did nearly 600 miles in her over christmas going to see the folkes in Normandy, much fun on the back roads but think i got snagged by a speed camera just outside Calais.

Not sure what to replace the teg with, at the moment I am so in love with vtec I could see myself buying another low mileage last of the line DC2 from Japan, would like to try a DC5 as well. Been dreaming about NSX-Rs as well, but cant justify the largent at the moment.
