Hi guys.
She was solid as a rock. Doors were welded shut and a brace was welded acros the boot section.. The roof was then re-fabricated to make the boot lid as she used to be a hatch. Funnily enough most people didnt think we would make it out of calais, let alone to Rome in days via the alps. But on the 2nd day from Sarnen to Aprica we were 8th car home through the sections that TopGear did a few weeks later. We were very impressed with our beloved volvo. And becasue it was a disesel we only used 8 tanks on the whole 3000 mile trip, unliek some of our new aquantances in 3.0 cars who used 7 tanks getting to Sarnen!
In asnwer to the roll over hoops question. If we rolled, we would of most likely died, but then again, the same is true in my caterham. Anwyay, its pretty damn difficult to roll a volvo with 4 up and 4 days of luggage. She spent most of the time sitting on its bottom!
