Hello, been reading this forum for a while now but never got round to posting.Bought a couple of months ago as a stop gap after some idiot(s) messed my 900 Aero up, but I ended up falling for the e28 and now I'm keeping it.

She's a 525i, When I got her she ran like a pig, She had been very neglected by the previous owner but after a few weekends she was running luvlie!

Currently in the process of getting it mint but mainly saving for a full suspension rebuild with uprated components and e32 calipers/rotors all round. After that big engine time biggrin. I'm dying to put an M70 motor in her but it's more of a dream tbh. I think I'll end up opting for a forced induction 3.5 m30.

Best of the 5 series shapes by far. When I was a kid a neighbour had a 525i like yours and I was fascinated by it, it seemed so much more engineered than my Dad's Volvo's.

Lovely mate.

My Dad had an e28 520 in red, and seeing these pics take me back to my childhood and family days out. I can smell the interior and hear that engine right now! The car covered over 250k on it's original spec - a great partner when my dad was starting out in business, it took him all over the country.

That car is one of the reasons I now drive a straight six BMW.

I can't stand BMW's, however I have to confess, I like these very much.
