very interesting selection of military vehicles you have there!

Corvette and Cerb - thumbup

(particularly like the cascade-esque paintjob on the Cerb, very nice!)

Very good off road.Just let down by the fact that they are light. So on some obstacles or inclines the tend to lift the rear wheel. It pays to have weight in the back.Fording rivers and traveling through thick mud does'nt present a problem.

Gereat collection of vehicles. Do you have any history of the Jeep. What unit it served in etc?

No history i'm afraid.Unlike current British Army vehicles where a service card is kept. There was no such thing as that during WW11.It was deemed at the time that a Jeeps survivability was weeks rather than years hence no records were kept. There was 625,000 jeeps of both Willy,s and Ford produced during the war period during the war period and with Jeeps being allocated to various front line units it was impossible to keep track of them.My jeep was purchased in 1976 by my dad for me and my brother. We were only 6 at the time, and the intention was that when we were old enough we would learn to drive with it.We took it a bit further and decided for it to under go a complete nut and bolt restoration over a period of three years by the top jeep restorer in the country. He has restored a number of examples for American collectors and one for Kevin Wheatcroft of the Wheatcroft collection at Donnington park.I have the original log book showing it registered in 1949,and we did get down to the original blue factory markings during restoration.
