If you still want a SV8, there were still 3 available from Oselli Ltd (01993-849610) when I spoke to them last Saturday (21/6/03). 10 SV8's being assembled & sold under licence from the Receivers, at a discount to Jensen's list price. Good luck & hope its not too late for you.

Yes there's a few problems which the dealer's PDI should have pick up but didn't. SV8s are hand built from a new design. What about the early A2 elk test, or the early Audi TT handling? And they are big companies with mega budgets. Nothing like that with the SV8, just a list of annoying things. Jensen did a great job with a tiny budget and you need to appreciate that. I've just taken mine back to SV Automotive for its first service and to have the problems fixed. A very conscientious bunch who are proud of their cars and want to please. They fixed minor things I didn't even think were significant.

Amazing to think that these cars will remain so rare.

sounds pretty damn reasonble to me. I saw one of the SV8s at London Lotus some time ago, and the salesman did say that they'd bitched enormously when it turned up over build quality issues (to be fair the passenger door was about an inch off shutting!), but that the guys had come and put lots right in very short timeframe - good luck to em
