Ok, not exactly on par with some of the mouthwatering cars on here, but I love my Puma! 17" TSW wheels, and a 30mm drop on Eibach springs make for a massive improvement in looks imo (though maybe not such a smooth ride on the knackered Sheffield roads!) It's the 1.7 version by the way.

Get some photos up smile It doesn't matter what you drive (well, within some bounds of reason), it's how you drive it. Heck I've been driving a 660cc 3-cylinder Japanese car and have always been welcomed at PH meets!

That's given it a much better stance.

I've always thought they sit too high.
Wheels suit it too thumbup

Cheers guys! I love it too. Lowering it and adding those wheels has messed up the ride and handling slightly, but it's worth it for the looks. They handle sublimely when they're standard - most modern hot hatches are quicker, but the Puma still has it in the twisties!

Good to see another Puma here! Got to say i'm not a big fan of 17s on a Puma - I think the 15s look in better proportion to the rest of the car - but the lowering should have been standard from the factory. Like you say, makes the ride quite a bit more fidgety though.

That shape has aged really well it still looks great now, used to have a Puma Racing back in 2000 and I loved every second of driving it. The pops and crackles it used to make when easing off were brilliant!
