First up,the newest addition, a 1987 Peugeot 205 Gti. It's a 1.9 phase 1 in completely original condition, it's even got the original Phillips cassette player!

It was bought when I was looking for something cheap and fun and so far has fitted the bill perfectly. I've got no huge plans for it at the moment, as it's currently my daily driver, apart from a bit of body work tidying and suspension refurbishing, hopefully in time for a few trackdays next year biggrin

Secondly, the money pit in my life, a 1992 Rover Mini Cooper. Once upon a time it looked like this:

Then after a while it looked a little something like this:

and finally, three years later it looked like this:

It's had a full bare shell rebuild by myself, during which time it had a rebuilt engine and gear box, all new suspension with adjustable everything, an all new interior and a complete reshell. The only original bodywork left is the roof, bootlid and rear bulkhead and pretty much every nut and bolt is new. If anyone's interested there are plenty of pics of the restoration here:http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v683/Daves_Mini_Resto/

Two iconic cars...great stuff thumbup

Doesn't seem to be much room around the arches on the mini.

Nice to see a standard 205 gti, too many of them have been modified and ruined.

It's the one before a phase 2 tongue out
It just means it was the model before they updated the interior, rear lights etc and added cats and stuff like power steering.

As for the mini's arch clearence, that was the tart in me,however after driving it for a few miles like that and rubbing the archesover the slightest of bumps and everytime I tried to reverse off my drive it's now gone to a more sensible height

Beautiful cars, particularly the Mini.

I do notice one non-original thing about the GTi though - the front indicators are white ala Phase 2.

Nothing hugely exciting unfortunately, just a 1275 with the usual stage one bits, I'd never call it fast but it's certainly enough to have fun with.
