Here's my 1993 1.8 Automatic.
I've had it 3 years, and the only mods are the wheels & tyres.
If possible, I want to keep it when i acquire a 2.3-16/2.5-16, I'm really attached to it.

Stunning looking Merc! thumbup

How many miles has it done? It looks like you've really looked after the old girl.

These are really cracking cars, good luck with finding a 2.3/2.5-16, have you seen any you like yet?

Evidence if it were needed that they don't make 'em like that anymore frown

Stunning car, my old neighbour had one fron new, and still has it. He commuted up to London & back from Surrey in it for years, so its got something like 300 odd K on the clock.

Marvellous.

Cheers fellas, it's currently on 121,000 miles.
Duplex Timing Chain & Tensioner were replaced at 108,000 and it felt like new again!
Cleaned the arches the other day, and found not one spot of rust on the body...

hehe ... too true i had a 1991 300E that i bought 6 years old with 120,000 miles on the clock and proceeded to double that in 3 years, all it needed in that time was tires, oil and petrol .. (lots of petrol)

love them big old merc's there are afew kicking about out here (190E's) that have 500,000+ KM on them, spent thier whole live ploughing up and down from Singapore to KL / Bangkok, and they all still look as good as new!!
