They are finally on!! The wheels I mean biggrin

Ive been doing a fair bit of work to the little KE over the last few weeks and its really taking shape now!!

Some of the grey stonechip on the doors is now white, the rubber door trims are now off and the wheels have now had a bit of a referb by myself! They are now on the car as from today with a lovely set of Yoko boots cool

Next on the list is to get rid of the rest of the grey crap, sort out the rusty bits on the arches and get the thing slammed!! cool

The project is slowly ongoing but heres some pics I took over the last few weeks and today............

Enjoy.............

Wheel Referb:

Finally On The Car :-) :

Its the standard 1300 4K engine with a filter at the moment! Im looking at getting some twin 40s for it and an exhaust and manifold to liven it up a bit!

I may even go mad one day and do a silly engine swap with either a toyota 1600 20v or even a 20b rotary , but its a daily driver at the moment so the 1300 is staying for the cheap tax!!!wink

There's loads of space under that bonnet for a nice big engine!

Actually, it looks really clean. Being a 'yota, at least you know it'll go on forever.

When I was at uni, I almost bought a '77 Lancer, I think it was a 1.2, it looked great and I loved the coke bottle window line down the side. The only reason I didn't buy it was because it needed some welding doing to it around the rear arches and sills and I was pretty skint.

As far as know, it is still sat outside where I went to look at it about five years ago. A shame really as it was still in a reasonable state when i was going to buy it. smile

I had a 1.6 SR coupe back in the 80's, great car, never used to see very many. Nice to see one being cherished

I will assume its cheap to run, with the 1.3?

Good Luck with the project, it looks great so far.

Because the ones I really wanted came up for sale it the right time and right price so I had to have them!! The minilights were only ever a temp set till I got the ones I really wanted and now that they are refurbed I can sell them for better money to pay off some of the new ones!!

Im the man with a plan LOL!!wink

Looks cool - is it a front or rear drive?

I assume RWD as you're very excited about it and the Starlet of that age was. (I think!)
