Hello, been lurking for a while now but my previous steed wasn't very interesting. Sorted the suspension and breaks and added some RS wheels and ran around for a year.

The Rollerskate

The KA was a great little run around but would always be a shopping trolley. Really hankered after a Honda as I am a big fan of VTEC and needed something reliable. After my first test drive in an Integra Type R fell in love. looked at a few shitters but then came across this minter in Essex. Took delivery on Monday and haven't looked back. Appologies for the crap pictures and splattered bugs but I have been too busy driving it!

Totally standard car for the moment. First up will be a snooper because the sound of VTEC at full chat is as addictive as crack!

Good swop my friend. So long as all the bushes are in good nick, these cars are bags of fun out of the box. I had a carbon airbox, cat and exhaust on mine and it flew. It was still good when I put the stock stuff on it as well. The vtec cam is a wonderful thing eh! If you haven't already, make sure your wheels have the correct Bridghestone RE010 tyres fitted. They are stiff walled and make a load of difference to the handling - from understeery to lift-off drift happy! Miss mine, but the M3's rwd in the damp makes up for it!

see www.auto-journals.com for my write ups.

Had 4 new RE010s and 4 new disks and pads over the weekend. Had problems with the bushes on my KA so made sure the Tegs were sorted. New clutch and cam belt at the 60,000 mile service and has bills/recipts for absolutely everything. The only gripe I have with it is that the wheels have been refurbed in a slightly lighter shade of white, other than that its perfect.

wow, sounds like it's in it's prime then. They make a good track day car, light on mechanicals. I popped in some brembo blanks and Ferrodo DS2500 pads which were pretty good.

If you haven't already, jump over to www.itr-dc2.com . I keep having a look to see if my old car pops up on there.

Does look in very good condition mate, I'm sure your not regrating the decision after moving from the KA haha.

I've also got a uk 99 ITR, had it for nearly a year (here's the pic's).

Where abouts in Essex did you buy it from? Are you from around that way?

Enjoy, you'll never get boared of Vtec!!

Born in Essex but spent the last 10 years in South London. Recently moved out to the Kent/London border (better roads!). Found the Teg at a dealers on the A127 on the way to Southend. Looked at a few private ones which were pretty ropey but this one ticked all the right boxes.

I was due to travel up to Manchester to see a Milano Red Teg before I came across my one, yours looks very tidy.

Want to tinker with mine a little but its such a good package as standard I should really leave it alone. Seen some nice Rotas though....and a Spoon 4-2-1 Manifold and Exhaust....and.....and.....

I'm from near Basildon myself.

There is a huge Type R meet going on a Bluewater this month, I beleive that this is the last Sunday of the month. I went last time, there must have been at least 100 cars there, all different types of Hondas. About 10+ DC2's (still had the only Milano Teg).

Do get tempted by putting a manifold, free flowing cat and I like the look of the Mugen Twinloop, maybe one day.....
