Advice pls - Warranty Cheap imported Cypriot Subaru Impreza?

I was looking for a new wrx and I found a couple of sites that are offering a new WRX for £14,000 the catch's it's an import from Cyprus. the people I am looking at are motordepot and motorhouse 2000. Does anyone have experience dealing with these people? Does anyone know of any hidden pitfalls regarding buying a Cypriot import? I heard a rumor that there may be difficulties in getting warranty work carried out in comparison to work done on the UK source car.

The warranty isn't an issue anymore as long as the car is correctly registered with IM. You can get it serviced at any main Subaru dealer. The car is essentially the same as a Uk one - check if you get a CAT 1 Alarm/immobiliser. The downside is the residuals will be less - to be expected of course, and there used to be an issue if you wanted to get PPP added, not sure if that is still the case.
Suggest however you go over to Scoobynet as loads of info on there re grey imports..
