"Somehow I thought you'd know Mike (badly-back G) a quiet, unassuming chap
He's just out of hospital so will miss Kimbolton this year and his (Jag) JEC duties
Is your car as shiny as Mike's ?"
I got in trouble from my other half the first time I went out on a Jag day with him and his mates because his car was shinyer than mine! I've been trying to catch up ever since. Glad to hear his chassis repairs have been done at last. I'll drop him a line.

pics don't appear here, but from clicking on the boxes and from the pic in your profile, thats a smashing looking Marcos!
i have been tempted several times to have a ride in the Mantara that chap brings to Kimbolton, but seeing as he is recuperating it'll have to wait for a while yet.

Hi AndyBe. Its a 1995 car. I bought it in March with 23,000 miles on the clock. Power is from a 4.0 V8 Rover engine that has been chipped and remaped so about 220Bhp (I haven't had it checked yet). 0-60 reputed to be about between 5.4 seconds and tops out at about 150mph. Recently had new Spax adjustable shocks and new ventilated front disks. A wonderful exhaust note and pinsharp handling make it a great drive. Braking is a bit disconcering at first because Marcos shunned Servos on the brakes but they really work when you push hard enough. The Mantara is a realtively mild V8 engined Marcos. Have a look at the Later Mantis models some of which were kicking out up 600 BHP with mind boggling performance to match. I don't regret a moment of ownership as it is a real headturner. Have a look on the Club Marcos International website in the photos section for the different models.
