TVR tuscan S: 5th gear grinding

I have just purchased a TVR tuscan S (06/07/2007). It's a great car: good to look and drive (well in the dry!!). The only problem I am having is that everytime I enter 5th gear I get a severe grinding. Including to select reverse and occurs no matter how careful I place it in gear. Is this a common problem with the gearbox used or something more major possibly?

Ask a mod to move this to the TVR forum otherwise you probably wont get an answer...
