Hey guys, selling up my Ford KA as i've upgraded a bit. Picked it up on saturday and it's a 1993 Rev2 MR2 GT. Really ace condition, and goes pretty well. Rained for the first time tonight and i've given it some stick out of empty junctions/carparks as I was attempting to see just how "dangerous" they can be, and it stuck like fooking glue most of the time. Feels really nicely balanced, and can be placed with real accuracy along the road. Plus, when you do extend the revs a little it does shift pretty well. Probably the biggest change from the KA is the feeling of weight, both in the controls and of the car, being that it weighs about 1.5 KAs. The biggest similarity is because of the good vision and very tight turning circle it's a breeze to park!

Going to keep hold of it for a little while i think, as i said it's a minter and I think these MR2s are brilliant value. Insurance isn't too bad either considering i'm 21, have an SP60 and 0NCB. A few pics;

Cheers,
Rob. smile

Bit of a step up from the KA!

Got any plans modding wise (not in a chav way!)?

Can't wait to graduate from uni so I can afford something like that!

Thanks for the kind comments guys! smile

I'm really pleased with it - bad rain at the moment but it still feels really secure, and even booting it out of junctions (in the name of science of course) only results in the inside wheel spinning up a bit. So i'm relieved that they're not as bad handling as some people make out!

Vodka Margarine - (interesting name!) no plans for modding right now. It's standard down to the original stereo so it seems a shame. However, if i get bored i might put clear front indicator units on, a decent ice system and apparently K&N air filters sound fantastic on these cars - although i don't want to chav it at all. For now the priority is to get it to showroom condition, need a engine cover prop clip (a £1.80 part but it's bloody annoying) + a full service, and a cambelt. That lot will probably cost me north of £500, and the clutch linkage is squeeky so there's a chance a clutch might be needed in the non-to-distant future! Realised that when i bought it, but the rest of it is so nice i don't begrudge spending a bit of cash on the car. It is nice to have a decent car when you finish uni, but i'm still gutted to have left - great times! smile

Cheers,
Rob.

Thanks Simon, the pics are at the carpark at the far end of Sennen beach, which is right down by Lands End, and a short drive from my far-less-picturesque housing estate, lol! smile

Nice Ginetta, had a ride in another PHers G33 (Minimax). Lovely! smile

I did strangley recognise it from just the first pic then the second confirmed it(I thought)
I used to go to the Scilly Isles every year when younger, stop at Sennen on the way/way back. Now I head down that way with my girlfriend for the weekend here and there. Usually Falmouth based. Some great roads, especially between St.Ives and Sennen via St.Just. Nice car by the way. Always liked those but never suited my needswobble
