Nice vette. You've got to change the exhausts though, the stock ones are far too quiet.

I agree, the stock exhaust are far to quiet.
I was quite surprised just how quiet they are,
Perhaps a few "straite-through's" would liven the neighbourhood up.
The 2 silencer boxes, each tucked either side just behind the rear valence are big and heavy.
I must look into swaping them out and putting something else there, or nothing there.
They have pre-cat's and main-cat's on each of the pipes from each cylinder bank.
Perhaps they will quieten it enough to go without the 2 silencer boxes?

The Billy Boats get rid of the two silencer boxes and go straight through, probably giving the best sound out of all the exhausts on the market. You do get a drone but it certainly isn't unbearable.

I removed the silencers/mufflers on my 2001 C5, sounds much better now, and no probs at MOT time either... biggrin

Hi pete,
Have you got any pic's ?
So when the pipes come over the axele, is that where they cut-off.
I looked at my rear set-up a week or so ago, and there are no joints around that area.
Did you have to get the hacksaw out?
