Hi!
Finally got around to sorting some pics!
Had it for two weeks now and loving every moment of it (except the sleepless nights as it lives on the street and I every time a local toe rag wanders past Im sticking my head out the window to make sure they are not fiddling with it!) The noise it makes is stunning especially all the pops and bangs on over-run.
The photos dont really do justice to the pearlesent paint, it wasnt my top choice when looking for a Tuscan but the car was 100% mechanically sound (which tbh is more important with a TVR!) but it really is growing on me, especially when its sunny and it catches the light, its not a flip paint job but it changes colour right through a range of blues and silvers!
must be washing and polishing and waxing 2-3 times a week at the moment, working up to the shine that I want, slowly getting there. It takes a lot of elbow grease to work off 7 years of crap embedded in the paint! Havn't got around to sorting out the interior properly yet, there is a little bit of re-trimming that needs doing, some cabling that needs tidying up along with the speakers (although the soundtrack in the car is almost exclusively the engine and exhausts!) and the carpets need a bloody good shampoo.
My project for the weekend it to measure how loud the exhausts are to see if I can track-day it without having to silence it in any way. Noise meter arrived in the post today.
Cheers
Dave
EDIT: HOORAY! fixed stupid hosting problem!

lol ty for your help anyway!
unfortunatly the tuscan was also the turning point for TVR from cars that worked to cars that dont work!
the "rover" and AJPV8s were by all acounts pretty good engines. The Speed 6, when it works is amazing, but there were major reliability issues* and it was a huge contributing factor in the death of the company

- which im hoping have been mostly rectified by the after-market work the car has had done!

Looks really good in that colour too. You are braver man than me letting it live on a main road
TY very much, its more circumstances than bravery! no garage! its a private cul-de-sac but still has plenty of local mentalist foot traffic. its already alarmed up to the eye-balls, tracker is fitted soon, and its covered by CCTV recording 24hours! and of course me with a club! amazingly gorgeous car ?? not in hinckley by any chance?
TY, Im in Hampshire (basingstoke to be precise) mark.h said:
take off the spoiler take off the spoiler take off the spoiler take off the spoiler!
:ROFL:Trust me, im tempted to! the line of the boot it pretty nice without the spoiler. however word has it the spoiler actually makes a fair difference at high speeds (as does the front splitter?? if thats what its called ) although probably not so much for my driving style/speeds.
Of course I dont know how the thing is attached and whether some respraying work will be required once its off (the paint is a bitch to match and might screw up the otherwise original paintwork.)
Will post more pics if I ever have the balls to do it!

the colour is "Crystal Topaz" (an ice blue. does shift in the light, but not as apparent as a Cascade or Spectraflair finish!) its one of my favourite colours for a Tusc too!
very very nice indeed! the S rear spoiler is an interesting addition as is the front splitter (also from an S), a few of the early development Tuscans had them (James Agger is selling one of the very first at the moment IIRC) its good on a Tuscan S but i'm not so sure about how it looks on a normal Tusc.
IIRC this particular one was for sale on here a short time ago was it not?
The Carbon cans are an excellent addition. not only do they look great, the sound they make, especially from inside the cabin is awesome IMO! and like you say provide booms, cracks and pops a plenty!
superb choice sir!(please do post some more pics of it!) good luck and enjoy it!

I have to agree with spoiler removal, they do look nicer without, but having just spoken to a fellow tuscan owner tonight its defo a monster job to remove once they are fitted, front splitter is easy to remove, rear spoiler leaves holes and will require some re-spraying so I will have to wait until I have a bit more disposable funds. and they do add to stability past 100mph
only had her for two weeks so too early to comment on reliability, the electrics are a bit wacky (windows tend to have a mind of thier own for example) will have to wait on the engine. it had a TVR power engine rebuild only a few months ago and they do one of the best 3rd party re-engineering jobs out there.
there are better cars out there than a tvr, there are faster cars but from all the cars I have owned there is nothing that compares to the sheer drama of the TVR, all the noise and excitment of something with pretty decent power (anywhere between 300 and 400 hp and similar torques, take your pick they are all different) and a car that weighs about as much as a fiesta! acceleration is obscene, the amazing noise, the popping and crackling on over-run from those cans. It really is mind blowing! an of course it looks like a bat-mobile, kind of elise on steroids! and of course top off posing potential is massive as they are so rare, even in the short time I have owned it I see people pointing and mouthing "what is it?" to thier friends!
thank you for all your kind words, im utterly made up with it, wanted to have a TVR for so long!!

Wow, flippin' beaut. I'm really looking forward to buying one of these one day. Titanium with mulberry leather for me. In the mean time I'm sticking with my Integra instead of upgrading to something tempting like a E36 M3.
Well done for taking the plunge on a Tuscan. I love the shape of the boot as well, but it looks good with as well, and will give some stability at speed
