Just thought i'd drop in and show off my ongoing project and post MR2 daily driver.

The daily driver is a 98 E36 328 sport. Recently picked up some genuine M3's wheels with polished lips biggrin. Will hopefully get new throttle bodies and inlet manifolds soon as that will release 30bhp due to the current manifolds being so restrictive to get under German tax hikes!

RR'd and returned better than standard figures biggrin

The project is a 1965 series 1 Jaguar E-type 3.8 straight 6

Interior is the next bit to work on

Both together biggrin

Hope you like biggrin

I do! That E-type is lovely, wish I had the keys (especially today, with the sun out) and the Beemer doesn't look to shabby for an everydayer either.

The M3 is a nice looking car, it's not as if he's trying to pass his 328 off as an M3, he's just put a nice kit on it! It's not like alot of 318's with crooked 'M///' badges rolleyes

It is a completely standard 328 sport the only change is the M3 wheels. The kit is a factory fitted m-tech kit.

Have kept the origianl bbs wheels but they need refurbing so when i get chance I will do it and them maybe go back to them

I have left the 328 badges on because it isn't an M3

The 328 sport is a different car to the normal 328 (even different on the logbook). The 328 sport has mtech suspension the kit and generally higher spec as standard ac leather etc. <ine has the upgraded avus suspension pack which means bilstiens all round.

My daily snotter is an E36 328, but just the cooking version and not the Sport.

They are brilliant cars. Fast, cheap to buy and reliable. They also sound great.

Just goes to show everyones different - that's my favourite colour of E-Type, possibly because one of my earliest motoring memories (in fact one of my ealiest memories of anything!) is being taken for a ride in my Uncle's primrose yellow Series 3 - it was fantastic!

Just thought i'd do a little update on this.

The BMW finally got it's original BBS' wheels refurbed. Diamond cut lip Lacquerd with new chrome bolts.

The E-type has taken a back seat recently finally got the cooling issues sorted we hope.

Unfortunalty took the e-type out of the garage last weekend and the clutch slave cylinder has gone. However we thought it was due to the clutch sticking tried to free it off and in the process stripped the starter ring frown. So its an engine out job and get a new stater ring fitted aall before the Le Mans classic. Easy you would think but due to other commitments work can't start until June and one of those weekends im going to Le Mans!!

S1 E Type Roadster is one of the best looking cars ever IMO.

Those 328i's are quite popular on here, a few members prefer them to the M3's.

Gorgeous E-Type....Love the Roadsters to bits!

Any joy with unleashing the six you have in the 328? I'm hoping to go about getting rid of the restrictive bits in my own 328 but curious as to how much you may have spent to undo the work they did to bring it under that tax band.

I know I know, i could go look on e36coupe, but i can't be bothered at the moment wink
