Guys, not much point in posting most ordinary cars on the planet on here that you see 100s every day - I guess. Why don't special ones get posted on here...? Just a suggestion.

I think virtually everyone on here thinks their cars are special in some sort of way, so if they want to show it to people then thats fine by me.

In my opinion a car doesnt have to be modified or rare to be special.

This area is called "readers cars" not "special, rare or exotic cars"

I'm not interested in seeing boring cars either. There's quite a lot of 'what wheel trims for my Mondeo' type of talk in General Gassing as well, which I try to avoid.

I guess to be fair though, this is the Reader's Cars section, and if some young lad is proud of his Ford Ka or whatever, he shouldn't be stopped from posting it.

Exactly

Remember how proud you were of your first car, mine was a Fiat 127 for Gods sake, but i was still over the moon with it and wanted to show everyone.

Yeah we best have a no sub £20,000 section or a no sub 200bhp section cos that would mean we only get exciting cars obviously.

What is one mans boring car maybe another mans exciting car, if you are a new driver I am pretty sure any car seems great to you, whereas if you own a Ferrari and Bentley then I guess most cars will seem pretty dull.

If you don't think the cars are exciting then why read the threads?

I can name several cars that are exciting that have less than 200bhp or cost less than 20,000, i dont think that would work.

Start the thread title with the car you have, then if somone doesnt think its exciting or not for them then they dont have to click on the post.

I wouldn't say many of the cars on here have been that boring, other than alot of the mostly silver VAG cars (normally 200hp or more, probably costing about £20,000 or more) wink

Every car on here has a story behind it, and I'd like to see you find another forum with such a diverse mix of cars that worked aswell as this one does!

We all have cars we love and cars we loathe. Either stick to the forums of cars you love of put up with the occasional one you loathe on here!

Different strokes for different folks really, I find looking at the Rolls Royce pictures every bit as boring as those someone posts of a bog standard Ford Ka, simply because all I have to do to see a bog standard version of either is type it into google images - but that's no reason for people not to post them. I look on here to see people's restoration projects or cars with something a bit different about them. As an 18 year old though it's also nice to look at what other people have as their first car.

yes

17 years old, just passed your test and you got yourself an old banger .. .

bet you would still be proud of it ...

Live and let live, understand and appreciate that we are all petrolheads here, just enjoy sharing in thier enthusiasm.

I actually think its nice when you see someone post up something fairly ordinary that has been well looked after and the owner is dead proud of what they have.

keep 'em coming in all shapes and sizes i say thumbup

Damn right.

We all love our cars, that's why we're here.

My first car was a Peugeot 309, loved it to bits, if there was a 'Readers Cars' back in 1996, I would have posted it up. All 55bhp of it! biggrin

Of course, all we had then was 'Readers Wives', and I think it would be silly putting your car in there.

Boys, boys.....my goodness, I thought ladies were the bitchy type but some of you are well on the 'female' way!!!!!

Never had a Porche nice dude, are they as fantastic as they look? always wanted one. Driven just about everything else though.

Anyone going to the Ultima Sports open day Sunday 5th August, should be a good one even if it's raining!

Come on, please help me upload my 'sometimes-boring' CC photo!
