Had her for a few months, and apart from a few little things breaking (non Racing Puma parts) I'm loving it to bits. Only 500 were made, and this one is 400 and figures suggest that theres only about 380 left on the road. I've only seen 1 on the road apart from mine in 7 years! Not really going to go on about how good it is to drive, but it is very, very, very good to drive!

Lovely cars, the styling is spot-on with them, I'd love to go up against one on a good B road driving

1.7 VVT with 155bhp & 157 Nm. 0-60 in somewhere between 7.5-7.9 depending on what source you quote. Also has Alcon front brakes which are pretty damn good for stopping the car!

Am I right in thinking its the Yamaha Zetec? If i'd not wanted a Teg so badly i'd have been looking for a Racing Puma. Same type of car, its all about the handling and the enjoyment rather than ouright pace. Proper enthusiasts car and rare too thumbup yes

I had a 1.7 Puma a few years back, was one of the most funcars I've ever driven. The handling was fantastic, so I imagine that must be pretty much perfect.

One of the few cars made which I'd be tempted to keep forever (if she were mine of course)

Congratulations on a great car

Unfortunatly the photos really complement the car, and its not in as good(er) condtion as it looks on the photos. However, I am slowly getting doing little bits to it all the time to restore it to its former glory

Superb looking motor. thumbup

I recall a motoring magazine criticising the Racing Puma (Evo?) at the time for damping that was overly-stiff for bumpy B-roads. I'd love to hear how they really drive and if the journo's opinion was a valid criticism or a load of tosh.
