Good God! I thought they only existed in myths and police fleets.

How is it to drive?

It's definatly not a myth, although it's a pretty rare car.

Only taken it on a short test drive so far. It doesnt feel fast as it's very smooth and the engine doesn't seem to have any character as such. the only sensation of speed is the tacho and speedo needles moving round a bit quicker than I'm used to.

I'll have a better idea once I've driven it home on Friday to Glasgow on Saturday back home, down to Surrey Monday and back home Tuesday which is a grand total of 1000 miles driving

nice to see something properly different for a change! that looks lovely, and its a very exclusive little club you've joined too. i've only seen 1 W8 on the road!
very understated but a proper Q car none the less!
enjoy it!

Nice looking car - always had a bit of a soft spot. Had a go in one when they first came out as my friend worked for VW at the time.

Seemed surreal to be going so quick in a Passat.

Enjoy it thumbup

Wow that really is something from the Q car premiership. Ive never seen one, but everyone who sees it will probably think its a normal rep - spec passat until you overtake them and even then only those in the know will spot the small silver badge on the grill.

Enjoy!

Although the quad exhaust may give the game away.

Evening, Forthright. wavey

I'm ashamed to say I had never heard of this car before. But it sounds cool and I want to hear more.

The manual does 0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds and the aumatic in 7.6. Which do you have? Either way it's a lovely car.

Wow, I've seen 3 W8 estates on the road but never knowingly a saloon.

it's even better owning one. Just ask the young lad in the pimped A3 1.8T that tried to keep up the other day. rofl

The best thing about it is the grandad image the Passat has. No one expects them to be going quick.
