Holden Commodore HSV VT GTS 5.7ltr V8 with vortech supercharger and custom MAF and twin dumpvalve setup. Full stainless exhaust inc manifolds and racing cats. Ripshifter gearbox AP 6 pot fronts with 363mm disks AP 4 pots rear with 342mm disks. Had a drama on Sunday at Marham due to fluid getting too hot so was unable to change out of 4th gear on the straight. Fixed that problem but then on the next session I blew the main intake hose from the intercooler to the throttle body so game over.

I have a dyno printout showing 571.4bhp but things have been changed a little since then. Realistically I'd say its somewhere between 530-545bhp. 4doors, 5seats and a big boot......what more could you ask for!

I'm not taking the piss here, but have a genuine question out of curiosity....

What sort of MPG does it return?

If I'm honest then 'normal driving' returns about 16-18mpg, on a run up to about 22mpg if I'm hooning around then single figures..............sometimes very low single figures

Yeah you could say that, in a straight line it is just awesome. Its always funny at the 'traffic light grand prix'. Other people may pull up next to it but once they see the size of the brakes, hear the supercharger whining and the rumble of the V8 thru the exhaust they don't usually want to play.
Does generate a lot of good interest though because they're not exactly common.

totally agree, thats what I had before I bought the HSV. The LC was and still is an awesome piece of kit but the Holden is that bit newer, much more tuneable and a little more bombproof. Which is ironic considering I keep breaking bits on the HSV
